About the Instrument
What Is a Charango?
The Charango is a small Andean string instrument from South America, traditionally made from an armadillo shell. It has ten strings in five courses and produces a bright, distinctive, ringing tone that is unmistakably South American.
Charango Storm captures this instrument in unprecedented detail — with lush octave tremolos, crisp staccato notes, and flowing picked passages. Alongside the charango, this library also includes the mandolin and the cavaquinho, ready to bring authentic South American flavour to any production.
